Moving and Storing Household Items

When a family member passes away unexpectedly, there is not only grief but so much other stuff the family has to do. Hello, my name's Bernice. My mother-in-law passed away last year. Here we are a year later, and it's beginning to feel like we finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. When it came to cleaning out Mom’s house, I had to put my organizational skills to work. My husband has three siblings, so furniture and belongings were going in four directions. There were some items we wanted to put in storage until our children were old enough to use them. I found a moving company that was willing to work with us. They worked to make sure the items were delivered to the locations we specified. I want to share more about this experience with you and hope you can take away some helpful information.

3 Reasons You Should Hire A Commercial Moving Service To Help With Your Upcoming Move

If your business is moving to a new location, chances are it's because your company is growing and you need the extra space. While that can be exciting, your enthusiasm can fade once you realize how much work it's going to take to get everyone set up again at the new digs. But that's where a commercial moving service can come into play. If you don't want your big upcoming move to set your company back, it might be best to hand the task over to professionals who can help get you up and running quickly. Here are 3 benefits of hiring professional commercial movers to assist with your company's upcoming relocation.

Keep Employees Focused On The Work

If you are expecting your employees to move their own belongings to the new location without professional help, chances are the move will end up taking a lot more time out of everyone's schedule than just the moving day itself. If they know they have to move things themselves, employees will be likely worried about packing up and securing their things days or weeks in advance of the move. This can hurt your workplace's efficiency and workflow. But if employees know that a professional company is coming in to pack and move everything for them, they can stay focused on their actual job right up until moving day.

Avoid Potential Workplace Injuries

When moving large objects like desks and chairs around, something is bound to go wrong at some point, especially if the people helping you move don't have a lot of experience. Asking your employees to move all of their belongings themselves could lead a workplace injury, if something gets dropped or someone trips and stumbles. By hiring professional movers, you will be keeping your employees out of harm's way.

Make Sure Your Assets Are Insured During The Move

If your office owns a lot of computers or other expensive equipment, you are going to want some kind of protection in case things are damaged during the move. Commercial moving companies often offer insurance that will reimburse a company if something is accidentally damaged during the relocation. If you choose to go without professional help, you might be out of luck if one of your employees drops an expensive item that costs hundreds or thousands of dollars.

Protect your employees, your assets and your bottom line during your upcoming move by hiring a professional moving company to assist you. A commercial moving service can focus on the move so your employees don't have to, while also keeping said employees out of harm's way. Companies like Father & Son Moving & Storage may be able to help meet your needs in this area.
